Puppy With Plans (part II)

As we found out in our last post the wee man Sieg has some big paws to fill. He's a lucky boy though, he's got an early start and a great mentor in Willie B. But there's only so much a pup can do in a day and the rest of the time? Well...

There's resting...

and napping...
and snoozing...

and sleeping.
And hanging out with Bogie Bear.

  5. That was my boy and now he's Rachel's. His sister, Colleen, sends her hugs and kisses to her big bro, he beat her into the world by about 4 hours :)

  6. Sieg is a doll-baby for sure ... and he looks like he's been part of the pack forever. ☺ Please ... how did he get the name "Sieg?"

    1. From Sieg Adam's breeder:

I'll let Rachel explain why she changed his name to Sieg but I believe it has to do with my two books and the dogs in them. Sieg was a service dog after all:

The registered name followed the "Step" theme I have used over the years and since I planned this particular breeding based on their Great Great Grandmother's name, Ch. Sarkel's Still Steppin' Up, the names chosen had "step" in them. My very first champion was Ch. Sarkel's Stairway to Stardom and her first champion daughter was named Ch. Sarkel's One-Step Above. Hope that explains the why. Sieg, Sarkel's Out of Step was chosen ans one day he will make sure Rachel is never out of step :)

    2. From Rachel:

You've read Ann's books haven't you? Ann called him Paddy, but can you imagine the number of times, once he starts going everywhere with me as my Guide Dog, that people are going to ask his name and when I tell them Paddy, they would say, Oh it's a girl, thought it was a boy????? They's hear Patti rather than Paddy.

(note from me, Sieg and Adam are the Boxers in Ann's books)

  9. He loves to sleep, rest, nap, snooze and hangout so he can grow up to be a big, strong boy. Love the pics, Rachel.
