A sweet little visit with Caddie and Zoe.
*********************************
This is the neighbor's little boy that my brother in law helps get
to school in the morning with his daughter. When his mom is running late
from work or a dr appointment he comes over here to hang out until his
siblings or his mom are home. I was able to take these cute pics
today and thought I would share how much my girls, Caddie and Zoe, LOVE kids.
Photos of Boxers and honourary Boxers to share with members of the Boxer Mailing List and fans of the Boxer dog breed.

Silver Stories - Kellogg
Back again with a Silver Story. This is part one of three from a Silver Boxer specialist
***************************************
I'm a HUGE fan of silver Boxers and have trained myself not to get frustrated when people say they want a "young one" for the kids, or so they can train it, or so they know it, or so they don't inherit bad habits. News Flash People: ALL puppies have bad habits!!!! You have to WORK very hard to fix those, but suit yourself. They say to pick a dog with the same personality traits as you so this is why Silvers suit me:
Most silver Boxers already know everything--like
me.
They like to spend a lot time relaxing on the couch—so
do I!
They prefer a car ride to a long walk or, heaven forbid,a run!
As for as not wanting to lose them too soon, I consider myself there FOR THE DOG, not the other way around. So if there’s an old Boxer out there that needs a place to live the rest of his life, for a day or a few years, he’s welcome at my house and it’s the least I can do considering what every Boxer I’ve known has done for me. We are now happily on our 3rd silver Boxer.
The first one, Kellogg, was a permanent foster because he came in at age 7 with cancer. Kellogg taught us volumes about mast cell tumors and separation anxiety-he was a double-whammy!He was also mostly toothless and loved kids; we had two fun and crazy years with Kellogg!

Living Dangerously
I received the following message:
"We bought the snake at Big Lots just before Christmas and it just seemed to come to life when I had my camera out. It is about 10 feet long and we are surprised that the kids have not de-stuffed it yet."
Poor Swift... Remember, in the Everglades nobody can hear you scream...

You are so pretty, you also look so delicious!
My, My, My, Such tender Ribs!!!!!!!

I am just going to cuddle with you for a bit and maybe a couple of more tastes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Belated Sam!
I missed a birthday last week. The Brindle and I hope Sam had an awesome day. Here's his birthday tribute from his "mom"
************
Sammy, as he was originally known and I got to know each other when he was 6 months old. He was a scrawny little thing with dysentery and totally uncontrollable. It took a couple of months to clear up his stomach issues and then he grew. As he grew, we managed to get control of him part of the time. He went to obedience classes and calmed down a lot.
By the time he was 3 years of age I knew he had a real problem: OCD! After a lot of research, he was prescribed generic prozac and is still on it. Whenever he gets stressed, he chases his tail. He used to do it all of the time without warning, change direction and during the change, would rip and tear anything nearby! After meds, a different dog. He still does it occasionally, but not often.
Always ready to play chase or just plain dodge the white beast.
A favorite occupation.
More rest.
This gentleman now known as Sam is still quite the guy. His birthday is Feb. 1 and he will be 12. Today, while watching out the window, he spotted a couple of gray squirrels under on of the bird feeders. He almost flew through the dog door and across the deck after them. He chased them and dove into a pile of snow about 4 feet deep after them. They managed to escape, but not by much. He may be sporting an almost white muzzle, but he has a young heart and lots of spirit.

Got Your Boarding Pass?
Last week I had the pleasure to go out to the airport to meet a very special flight. Soaring Paws was bringing us a delivery of food for our fosters as well as a very special delivery of a sweet guy then called Bruno, now known as Brock.
Soaring Paws is a 501c3 charitable organization that provides animal rescue flights. The founder is based in Florida so we get to see them quite frequently which is fabulous because they are also such great people.
If you're looking for someplace to make a special donation, other than your favourite Boxer rescue of course, I highly recommend Soaring Paws. The link above is to their website or you can find them here on facebook.
