Coming and Going

There's been a lot of that around here lately. Mostly that we don't know if we're coming or going. I blame that for the serious lack of blog updates in recent weeks. (months?) I'm hoping by posting it I will make myself accountable... or maybe my readers will hold me accountable.

In light of that here are a couple of photos of the Brindle, coming back from his uncles' house on the weekend, with the intention to try a little harder around here.

Ms Petey's Checkup

Today is the story of a milestone as told by Ms Petey's "mom".

We adopted Ms Petey From Boxer Friends Rescue out of Miami in October 2005 at approximately 6-9 months of age.  She came to us with a lot of physical and emotional scars.

Even after all these years Mz Petey is not excited about a routine vet visit.  As you can see she is only willing to go part way into the room and nowhere near the table or vet.

Her usual place is right in front of the door where she lays and pants.

She did however reach a milestone yesterday at the vet.  After all these years she finally allowed her nails to be trimmed and did not need a muzzle.

Fishin', Clammin' and Crabbin'

Two of the adventure Boxers, Max and Nemo, come to us today to share some of their favourite hobbies.

Max started off by letting Nemo know that she would catch the fish and he was in charge of clams.
She quite proudly returned to show off her fish.
Nemo was on the search for his clams...
He was pretty sure he had the right spot...
And then...
Bonus! A crab too!

Max, Nemo and Dad "that was a really good day, we got fish, clams, and crab...lets go home"

Introduction and Farewell

This summer saw one of the BML members add a new Boxer lady, Luna, to her household and shortly after another, Blythe, left to make her way to the Rainbow Bridge. Prior to that Blythe was able to impart some of her wisdom on the wee one.

Luna also was learning her new people and yard and I'm quite sure she found it all very much to her liking.

Bryn first meeting Luna. Even though she was thrilled with the brand new puppy the little dog whisperer said "Titus is still in my heart." (Titus passed two years ago due to brain cancer)
Helping Bryn pick pears.
Puppy love, Bryn and Luna napping.
Romping in the yard with Bryn and Neo.
Luna discovers she has a sandbox.

Welcome Home Old Man

Everything and everyone is moved in. A three bedroom house and a two bedroom apartment, crammed into a three bedroom house. It's an ongoing adventure but there was finally enough floor space to bring home the Brindle.

In honour of the occasion his aunt bought him a welcome home gift. Unlike the soon to be auctioned pig, his new dino is a hit.
