So far I've shown you pictures of the things we've done, around Phuket, during our dive trip and our speed boat trip to the Phi Phi Islands.
But today is my special ones. There are always parts of any trip that are especially memorable, for various reasons, and these are mine.
Like this one, the day we went to ride the elephants. Jennifer and I had just piled on our elephant, our handler informed us "it" was a lady boy. No I'm not sure what that means.
I call this photo "Elephant head as footrest".
The next one, you've seen one similar, this was taken just before the one in my Part 2 post.
We were trying to get set and had a bit of an elevation thing which is why in the other photo we've locked arms. Also, between the two, Angelo signaled to me to fix my hair. We laughed about that for the rest of the trip, who fixes their hair underwater?
But three days later as we were parting ways for the end of the trip he gave me a hug and said "Oh! Fix your hair!"
Next up, some people say a live-aboard consists of eat, sleep and dive. Well here is proof that for me (and anyone that knows me knows this is true!) it's eat, sleep, dive and read.
This is another before the shot, shot, with the final take being in my Part 1 post. Our group wasn't high maintenance, we just wanted full daiquiris for our photo.
And to close out that part of the trip. The absolute best photo I took the whole trip, The Junk at sunset.
Now for a couple from the Phi Phi Islands trip.
We wanted to do a group shot, something different, this is what we came up with.
And remember those cute monkeys? Well someone didn't find this one quite so cute.
And finally, something really fun that happened on the way home. My friend Angie is also from Ontario but we've never gotten together in Canada. Last year, well 2010 technically, she was traveling Europe and spent some time here in Belgium with the Brindle and I. Well it just so happens that she was visiting family in Hong Kong and I had a six hour layover in Hong Kong.
She met my fellow traveler, the guy with the monkey on his leg, and I at the airport and gave us a wonderful tour. But to kick it off she took me to see something particular, and we took a picture.
Angie and I at the skating rink in a mall in Hong Kong.
And so we come to the end. I hope you've enjoyed my pictures and the stories of my trip.
