A couple of years ago the following appeared on Pixel's wall on Facebook.
Me
and Tomo had WAFFLES for breakfast today! All Santa brought Tomo was a
piece of paper? It had a bunch of words like "contract" and
"responsibility"...and then my dad got all sniffley when he read it.
This was Pixel's (and Jeni's) way of announcing that Tomo was what we affectionately call a "failed foster". In fact I don't think Jeni and Dirk have had a successful foster, which is where the Boxer actually goes on to a new forever home.
Here's Tomo.

As I've mentioned before, Tomo is my "nutter butter" and we just adore him. I don't think his former owner would recognize him as he is no longer an under-exercised, over-stimulated, neurotic dog with rough fur and smelly ears. He is now glossy, sweet smelling, outgoing and a joy to be around.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, we HAVE fostered successfully in the past, but we also know a great thing when it comes around and don't let go of THOSE boxers. :) - JLM
They are wonderful pics, Jeni. I love the one of Pixel laying on top of his "brudder". Too funny!
