Part three and the last of my frisbee run.
*****
I've sent you a picture of Toonie looking all warped out of shape with the fabric frisbee............
If
you want to post that one, everyone can see what a clown she was. She
was a rescue that we snagged before she was shipped off to the official
rescue organization. A friend of ours took her and her brother in, and
we had just lost our previous rescue.
We took
in "Lady" (inappropriate to the max) and soon changed her name to
Toonie, which was originally Petunia, but that was an error as I was
thinking of the flower pansy as she had those amazing black soft
lips........could not keep my hands off them. She had no social skills
when we got her, but our male, Goalie, made up for all the wild boxers
ever. He was from Chile and he was our "Fernando Lamas" dignified,
sophisticated and very mannerly rescue lad. He guided Toonie's behavior
as she wanted to please very much. She and Goalie became best buds, very close and would wrestle at an amazing volume before falling asleep
together, always touching.
Toonie was a total goof,
rarely looking normal (see the pic with the yellow ball) but would at
the last minute either throw her ears back or crank her lips
around.........she ALWAYS made us laugh. The top right hand pic in the
group was her dealing with a long strand of cooked pasta. All our
boxers "shinny" up a strand of pasta or two, she usually managed to
almost lose it. The bottom pic in that group was me trying to
desensitize her to the click of the camera, part of my trying to get a
good pic of her. I followed her all over one afternoon clicking away
until she was finally tired of reacting to the click. I walked out into
the shop and clicked one more time and got that bottom
picture..........sigh.

Toonie seems a very appropriate name for this girlie! Such an expressive face! I'm glad I got to "meet" her! :)
