This is our dear "foster" Cleo.
She came to us 7 days after Owen died. The Sacramento shelter had kept her much longer than her allotted time, but were forced to schedule her euthanasia for the following day, so I drove up and brought her home. She is not really a foster anymore - at 12+ years, with tumors, vision and hearing impairments, severe orthopedic issues and a pronounced heart arrhythmia, who would want her?
Well, WE do! She's eased our heart ache and brought such joy. Happiness is an old dog to be sure.
What a great story and wonderful life this girl with have with her adopters.

ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful and at her age still a goofy boxer. Good for you and her. A lot of people wouldn't take a dog her age let alone with her conditions. Bravo!
