Today we have the treat of seeing Mary Liz Singleton's boys, best of dog friends. I'll let Mary Liz explain.
"I'm sending you some pics of my two boys in case you have a chance to
feature them in a future blog.
Ace is the brindle boxer, and Willie is
the Boston Terrier. As you can see, they are best buddies. We brought
Ace home as a "temporary foster" from Austin Boxer Rescue 12/24/10.
Although he had a terrible case of kennel cough, we all fell in love
with him, and I was completing paperwork to adopt him within 24 hours.
He was a loving companion to our beloved Moses until we lost him 9/9/11
at age 13. Ace is estimated to be approximately 3 years old.
After
losing Moses, and being displaced for 3 weeks by the Bastrop wildfires,
Ace was lonesome and bewildered. My husband and I decided to adopt a
Boston Terrier for several reasons: (1) at our age (60s), we thought a
BT would be more manageable than another boxer, Ace is our 5th boxer,
and we will always have at least one :), (2) my son has two Bostons, and I
love my grandpups! So we adopted Willie (estimated to be approximately
3 years old) from Big Dog Rescue in October. Poor Willie was rescued
from a puppy mill, and after almost 4 months, he still will not let us
pet him. However, as you can see from the pictures, he adores Ace, and
they are constant companions. They are sleeping side by side in their
crate (with the door open) as I type."

| The two of them in Ace's crate together within hours of Willie joining our family. |
 |
| The two of them in the bed together in their typical yin/yang position. |
 |
| The two of them on Christmas Day, awaiting our guests. |
 |
| The boys snoozing on the sofa. I eventually had to put the pillow away
because Willie kept grabbing it and running around the house with it! |
