Snow Dogs

Here's a little share from some of the Brindle's fellow Canadian Boxers.

I thought that I would share a few pictures.

First, I made a dog coat this year, I was hoping that it would fit both Jade and Quinn, but it is too big for Jade.

Quinn thinks he is pretty handsome, but my husband doesn't agree. So what does everyone think?

Now don't look too close, as this is my first sewing project in many years.

Then I have included a couple of pictures of the dogs playing in the snow. We don't have a lot of snow now, we did for a while, then it warmed up. Now it is just a little snow and cold weather.

We are all looking forward to spring, although Jade enjoys burying her toys.

When I Said Boxer Blanket...

On a more cheerful note I received the following from a BML member the other day.

"Do you all remember the boxer blankets that we were all trying to get our hands on around Christmas time?  Well, I never expected "MY" boxer blanket to literally become a "boxer blanket", but it seems to be a favorite of both Lucy and Duke.  The other night, I couldn't find Lucy, I walked past the couch 4 times and didn't see her- she was wrapped up in the blanket- The blanket looks so much like her, that I couldn't even tell she was in it.  This morning, she seemed cold (it was 40 degrees outside), so I tossed the blanket over her.  When I came out of the shower, she was standing in the dining room window, watching the squirrel in the driveway, still covered in her blanket.  20 minutes later- Duke had taken over the blanket!  I guess the kids like what was supposed to be my blanket...  "

Request for Boxer Vibes

I firmly believe there is a special place in hell for those who abuse and neglect domestic animals. Humans domesticated these animals to be our companions we OWE them to provide them the appropriate care and love.

A recent case of this, the people moved and left their dog behind. Yes they just LEFT him there! He made it to a shelter where the wonderful people from Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue stepped up to save him. A Boxer that should weigh about 75lbs checked in on the scales at 43lbs! When the intake worker went to see him all she could say was "OMG! OMG! OMG!" So his name is Otto Moby Gordon, pretty fancy handle isn't it?

Things have been touch and go for Otto. He spent a few days at the vet's office after his temperature dropped and his gums started turning white instead the normal, healthy pink. He's back with his foster mom now and on a high protein diet, lots of small meals. Word is though that somedog may have gotten some Arby's on the way home from the vet's as a treat for not giving up.

If you could send some good vibes and prayers if you believe in that, Mr OMG could really use them. You find more info about him on his webpage.
How could you abandon this face?
Otto was a little nervous on the way to his foster home.
One his first lessons? The awesome that is a soft bed.
Chowing down.
