Earlier this week I went along for a ride to transport a young Boxer. In rescue circles this is known as a CUR, canine underground railroad.
A representative with Florida Boxer Rescue found this young guy, Ranger, at the shelter when she went to pull another Boxer. She put the word out and immediately got someone to step up as a foster home. That someone is one of the folks in my area so I offered to go with her.
The best part of this story is that Ranger was adopted and went to his furever home yesterday. Here are a few photos from his travel day.
Adorable wee man isn't he?
You have to love a bed that comes with treats.
Let's roll!
As befits such a handsome guy named Ranger, he travelled the two legs of his trip in two different Ranger Rovers.
I was hoping to see a picture here of me smooching the little guy! Darnit! This story has a very happy ending, Ranger is in the perfect forever home! What a great day!... And as an added bonus, I got to see you!
ReplyDeleteRanger sure is a handsome fellow!
ReplyDeleteGREAT photos ... I'm glad Ranger's trip was documented so well!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you were able to help transport this young guy to his rescue where he found his forever home!! Love happy endings!! Loved when I was able to help with runs to pull dogs from my local shelter to get them to a rescue willing to help them find their forever homes!
