We have many members of the Boxer Mailing List that are foster homes for their local rescue. One of them, who works with (the real!) Second Chance Boxer Rescue out of New England, sent me some photos of her current permanent foster.

Minnie was used as a breeder and not spayed until almost 10 years of
age! Before the rescue spayed her, they had to have the vet remove a
bunch of tumors. Some were cancerous, but most not. She still has
loads of granular tumors, but nothing is bothering her at this point.
In some of the pictures you can see a harmless tumor on her lower side.
We do not fib to any potential adopters so no one was really
interested in her. Because she gets along so well with the other dogs I
decided that she could stay and I don't regret it one little bit. She
is a very sweet girl.
I do not understand why no one would be interested in her just cause she has a couple tumors showing. She's a beauty.
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious Minnie likes her little dino toy, too! LOL! What a sweet face! Thanks for letting us see her. ☺
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and lucky (at last) girl. Thank you for taking care of her and sharing the pix.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful old girl. She looks so happy. I wish more people would adopt the seniors. I'm so happy she is staying with you and your crew :)
