Today I'm happy to share with you the latest foster who will be moving on to the prison training program. Here's Smartie's story.
I am attaching a few pics of Bella and my current foster, Smartie a Scottish terrier. Smartie is 4 years old and
kept running away from home and the final time they refused to pay the
fine to get him back! He is a fantastic dog, handsome, intelligent,
playful and lives with joy in his being. He makes me laugh every day.
At meal time he has this twirling dance he does and since it is cooler
now he likes to burrow under a blanket to take a nap. It took Bella and
Smartie a few weeks to figure out how to play together but they do play
several times a day now. In the first picture his coat had not been
groomed for quite some time. He went to the groomers 2 weeks ago and
came home looking more like the Scottie he is. He will be entering the
prison training program in a few weeks and we will miss his joyful
presence in the house.

Smartie sure is a handsome fella! It may have taken Smartie & Bella a while to learn how to play, but I betcha it won't take long for Bella to miss having him around ..... Wishing Smartie all the success in the world!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics April!! So glad the two of them figured out a play style that worked out for them ;)

We had Scotties when I was growing up. One died of cancer and the other one died of a broken heart when my grandmother passed. She would not eat and just laid around looking for her. My mom took her to the vet 2-3 times and each time she was a little worse. He finally told my mom the best thing and the kindest thing was to put her to sleep as she was griveing herself to death. They are very much a one person dog. He is a beautiful little boy and will get a great home. Bella is beautiful, too April. Not quite sure that stick/chew bone he has is big enough for him, LOL.

Great buddies and pictures of them! We too have a fawn boxer (Moby)and a smaller black dog (Boston Terrier) and it is hard to get pictures of the two of them together.
