Remembering Hope (part I)

We recently received one of those sad emails on the BML. The ones that announce that one of own has gone on ahead, to wherever your particular beliefs assign. Shortly after that I received some photos of Hope asking that I post them in her memory. What follows are the words of Hope's "mom" and the first of those photos.

Her AKC name was Hope Springs Eternal however to us she was "Little Dog".  She bounded into our lives one winter evening in February 2005 at the age of 8 weeks and our lives have never been the same.  She brought back sunshine and laughter into our lives during a bleak period thus her name Hope.  She knew she was the queen of the universe and that the world revolved around her but she was kind to her subjects as they bestowed countless hugs and kisses through the years of her reign.  Even in the end, when the awful cancer had consumed her body and she was in pain, she bestowed final kisses on us to let us know it was okay.  She left us way to soon and there will forever be a big hole in our hearts and lives that can never be filled.

December 21, 2004 - October 12, 2012
She came to live with us in February 2005

She lived every second of her life with "Joie de Vivre"
Although mischievous at times she knew there was always going to be a present for her

She matured into a beautiful boxer lady
