He wasn't really a show off but if I gave him the chance he could demonstrate he was a smart guy. Even as he got older he just got more handsome with his distinguished white face.
My friend Lorena took this photo of us just over a year ago, I can't thank her enough for this.
Another favourite photo is from not long before he was gone. Typical Max, owning the couch, wrapped in his blankie.
Of course I brought him back home where he resides alongside Wee Max and Spencer. Never forgotten, always loved.
In something of a postscript, I took this quote to heart: "When I die please don't say I'll never have another dog. Search for the ones who are abandoned and forgotten, give them a second chance and let them take my place. Honour my life by saving another."
She was at the shelter before the Brindle died, I brought her home as a hospice case in his honour. She decided she had things to do before she died and she's still here. Her name is Nora and of course she's Brindle.
