Vinny Becomes Rocky

After a bit of a hiatus, mostly regarding the Brindle's impending departure from Belgium, we're back.

Today's another one of those great rescue stories that we love to share, as narrated by Rocky's new dad.

When we adopted Vinny, (GOBR tag #4020), he really didn't know or respond to that name.  So, we renamed him Rocky, which he happily responds to and knows that is his name from the first night on the drive home from Columbus.   He is my new love.  He is awesome, and really loves his daddy and mommy and his siblings, Niko, Libby and Kiddo and our daughter Jessie.

Rocky and Kiddo like to run and play ALL DAY.  Even our 9 year old Libby, also from GOBR, likes to play with him, but she does tire more quickly. Niko is enjoying teaching him the ropes, even though Rocky is pretty comfortable here and has already figured things out for himself after only 1 week in his new home.

Rocky has brought a new breath of puppy-ness to our home and is a perfect gentleman, who listens well and loves to cuddle.  We have been home cooking meals for all our fur kids after a horrible battle with tainted dog food last year that lead our poor Dudley to his death and left bad skin infections to our 12 year old Hound-Chow mix, Niko and Miss LibbyLu, the 9 year old Boxer.  So, nothing that I wouldn't eat myself for our kids now.  Rocky is a gobbler when it comes to food!  But he will wait patiently while his meals are prepared.
