Our time in Belgium is drawing to a close. In light of that I made the decision, with the awesome support of my family, to bring the Brindle home early while it would be easier on him to fly. Lots of big decisions were made and in the end we made our way to Frankfurt Am Main to begin the air portion of the journey.
The night before he knew something was up, what with his crate being in the garage and a lot of his stuff going through the washer. I told him to rest up, big things were coming.
We had a bit of an adventure, with our shuttle initially taking us to the wrong Frankfurt airport but eventually we got to where we needed to be. I checked him in, settled him in his crate with his lambiekins and off I went to find my gate.
I picked out a good spot near the window and watched until I saw him and then kept a close eye on the process. It was pouring rain in Frankfurt so they had a tarp wrapped around him when they brought him out. You can almost see his head in the last photo.
The purser on the flight was also kind enough to let me know that he was safely on board.
He's now spent the weekend recovering with his nana and papa and will shortly be moving to stay with his aunt and cousin until I make my permanent return in July.
SO glad everybody made it home safely! Himself, I'm sure, took it all in stride ... and I'll be the airline staff loved him! Big hug from his friend in Phoenix!
