Surviving the Snow

A bit ago I shared some photos of some Boxers working hard at staying warm. Well here are some more of the same gang when they brave the great outdoors.

The dog yard after one of the snow storms.

Rose inviting someone to play.
Fenway probably waiting for Rose to jump.
Sam checking the snow.
Minnie by the remaining woodpile which is now about half gone.
The last picture is where they all seem to gravitate to after an outing. The white dog with patches is my foster.  Nice dog. The little dog in the corner by the humidifier doesn't have a name.

Boxers and Brewskis

Yesterday Florida Boxer Rescue had a fund raising event at Hurricane Grill in Sarasota. The best part other the raising money? The beastie's were welcome!

Needless to say wee Brittney had to attend and show herself off. She was a star yesterday, so very brave. We were well prepared to leave early if it was too much for her but she lasted the whole afternoon and seemed to have a fun time. She even demonstrated her sneak skills by thieving some ice cubes from one of the other Boxers.

Maybe the best part though was near the start when she pulled my arm to get to the big white Boxer that was arriving. No idea why but she did like him. She also spent some time leaning on a big brindle guy but she may have been missing Max who stayed home yesterday.

I'm not going to try to identify the dogs I took photos of but please, enjoy.

Foster Dogs - Brittney

Brittney checking in from Florida Boxer Rescue. Things have been going very well for me in my foster home. My foster mama says I'm putting on some weight, especially muscle, and turning into quite the big strong girl.

I've got my own little exercise program you see. When my foster brother isn't paying attention I move his toys to the backyard. Big galoot like him, you have to keep him guessing.
I do like the yard here, there's lots to do. Sometimes I play hide and seek through the bush and laugh at everyone.

Sometimes I lounge around which is a huge step for a girl that was afraid of the outdoors just a few months ago. I've even been know to roll around in the dust, just for fun. Mostly though I like to run and just sniff everything, it's the most fun.
The biggest thing is I'm hoping for my own furever home soon. Maybe it's with you? If you think it might be please contact the nice people at www.flbr.org.
