...and Dottie

This is still Bucky's story, the following is what Debbie sent me with the photos.

We have always just had one boxer dog at a time, but had been looking for a smaller dog to be a companion for Bucky.  Dottie is a terrier mix, about 20 pounds, who was a stray taken in by a Fresno rescue group.  My niece fostered her for about a month and when I met her I felt sure she was the one for us.  She came to live with us on February 18, and she and Bucky immediately became best buddies.

I think they called this one right.

New buddies!

Just layin' in the sun.

What Bucky said.

This last one is kind of special. It's a piece that was created by Lori Smith based on a photo of these two snuggling in Bucky's bed. I of course immediately noticed Bucky's Sharks bandana.

Bucky...

Today is another of my favourite Boxers from a distance. His name is Bucky and he lives in San Jose, CA with BML member Debbie Cauble.

Bucky is almost 8 years old, Debbie and her husband adopted him 4 years ago this July. He was an owner surrender and fortunately his mama Sara was adopted by someone near them, so they are able to get together.

A couple of years ago a gift arrived here and while I'm sure it was from Debbie to me, Max decided that Bucky must have sent it for him. You can see what it was in my old post The Brindle as a Sports Fan?

Here's the first installment of our friend Bucky.

Such a serious face... he's not always like that.

Ready for Hallowe'en, oh the things we do to our dogs.
Sometimes I just lay down and think about how good life is. ~ Bucky

Pixel's "brudder"

A couple of years ago the following appeared on Pixel's wall on Facebook.

Me and Tomo had WAFFLES for breakfast today! All Santa brought Tomo was a piece of paper? It had a bunch of words like "contract" and "responsibility"...and then my dad got all sniffley when he read it.

This was Pixel's (and Jeni's) way of announcing that Tomo was what we affectionately call a "failed foster". In fact I don't think Jeni and Dirk have had a successful foster, which is where the Boxer actually goes on to a new forever home.

Here's Tomo.

Tomo, on his own for a change.
Jeni says one of these days Tomo is going to chew Pixel's head off for being such a brat.
