In Memory - Minnie

Saying farewell today to a friend's compassionate care foster.

*****

07/23/14  Yesterday I made the tough decision to release Minnie from her DM. They are never with us long enough. I adopted her April 2013 at the age of 10. No-one wanted her because of her many tumors. I looked beyond the tumors and her personality really was wonderful. I was her foster home.

These pictures were taken about the same time that I adopted Minnie. She loved that little dinosaur, but some foster chewed it up! I was never able to find her another toy that would keep her attention the way that one did.

I have been having a lot of difficulty with my back of late, and having to lift her was the main cause. Today my life is a bit easier and I have no regrets. She was an amazing old girl!  The rest of the pack has looked around for her, but seem to realize that she is gone. She was beautiful.

  1. What a beautiful girl she was Dot. That dm is a horrible disease that I hope a cure is found for, it has taken so many boxers (and other breeds).

  3. Love her beautiful face. Thanks for giving her a good home and loving her until the end. DM is insidious and never easy to watch. RIP Minnie - you are now running free at the bridge - hope you find my Miss Kittie to run and play with.

  9. What a beautiful girl both inside and out. Will never understand why people can't look beyond the cosmetic and see the gentle, sweet spirit within.
