Naturally Riley

You mentioned being short on pictures, so I've attached a few - this set is all Riley, our all-natural 4 year old girl who rules the roost. These are some of my favorite pictures of her over the years.

We started using a couple small dog beds for her to stay close while I was in my office or in the kitchen when she was a puppy. She quickly outgrew them, but tried to use them as long as possible. They are now toy baskets since she can't fit, and we have replaced them with much larger dog beds.
Riley hamming it up for the camera - sort of reminds me of those distorted pics where they make the dog nose real big :-)
She has a habit of sitting cockeyed but sort of upright, and it reminds us of Bill the Cat from the old Bloom County comic strip… So when she does this, we call her Bill - not sure she gets it since she wasn't born when Bloom County was still published.
This pic is her in the back yard taking a break from playing with Austen, whose tan ear is barely visible in the foreground.
This is in the backyard of our previous house where our neighbor had a large dog that was very sweet and who held Riley's attention as she wandered around on her tie-out. Her name was Bacon, which is probably part of the reason she & Riley got along so well.

The Brindle's Friends

A while back we had a post about the Brindle and his Lambiekins that was quite popular. I thought we'd show you a little more of what he gets up to and who with.

We've met Mr Moose, he made a recent appearance after being abandoned on the patio. Sometimes he does get to go a little further, perhaps when the Brindle is feeling Canadian?
What concerns me is that, at times, the Brindle could run into something.
He also has a focus problem when you throw things for him, notice Mr Moose in the foreground.
The Brindle also thought this would be a good opportunity to introduce some of his neighbours.
Little dogs that live next door, they all run the fence together.

The cat that is just as likely to be on our patio as his own.

Finally, at the end of a long day, a busy boy needs his sleep.

Nothing...

Today is one of those days that I really have nothing, not even a photo of the Brindle to share. He won't even cooperate with a photo shoot because he's busy with a pig's ear. To any of you BML folks that have photos, there's plenty of room in my inbox.

All I've got is this that a BML'r sent me titled "Gimme that bone!"
Aside from that I could regale you with stories of my knitting. With this being WIP (work in progress) Wednesday there's this shawl I've restarted umpteen times since 2010 that I started over from scratch. I'd like to finish it this year but now I'm working on Christmas presents that you don't get to see photos of.
In case you were wondering, knitting can be Boxer related. The Brindle is a great model.
He also likes to go for the more artsy shots.
